The lodge has everything you could ask for and more, a perfect spot for a quick dip in the pool or to read a book by a roaring log fire! The owners and staff and incredibly warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome, it felt like a home away from home. Special mention also goes to the delicious and hearty food that we had during our stay!

The farm also has very well sign posted walking trails in the surrounding bush and And an encounter with a curious giraffe and springbok was an absolute highlight!!

Viewing the animals from the evening dinner deck brought a new perspective to the different personalities of animals, from the skittish kudu to the regal Giraffe and the intrusive little troublemaking Guinea Fowl.

  We had a wonderful time at this lodge. We stayed in Zebra cottage which is great when travelling with a child. The braai area was our favourite part of the... read more cottage. There is some Karoo bushes in between the cottage and the braai, so it feels like you are out in the open, but the cottage is right there.

The owners and staff was amazing. We had sundowners at the main building / bar in the evening, overlooking the beautiful Karoo hills. The view really is amazing.

The owner blows on a whistle around sunset, all the animals comes to this area then to feed. It was great for our 3 year old who enjoyed the presence of the giraffe very much.

The information sheet provided were exceptionally detailed; and the hosts friendly and forthcoming. The restaurant, pool and porch area had beautiful views; especially over the unique variety of game feeding there - a rare experience. The meal served to us were well prepared and very tasty.
