Varley and Hannalize organized a mountainbike, complete with helmet and rack for one of us to ride the Swartberg Pass. There is some Karoo bushes in between the cottage and the braai, so it feels like you are out in the open, but the cottage is right there.

The owners and staff was amazing. We had sundowners at the main building / bar in the evening, overlooking the beautiful Karoo hills. The view really is amazing.

The owner blows on a whistle around sunset, all the animals comes to this area then to feed. It was great for our 3 year old who enjoyed the presence of the giraffe very much.

You can also take a hike through well laid out hiking trails and view the wildlife on the farm up close. The owners also arranged a sundowner for us on top of a hill with stunning views of the 3 mountain ranges. The owners and staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful, they did not hesitate to assist with special requests and made great suggestions for nearby attractions, of which there are plenty.
