The main lodge, where food is served, is spacious and very well furnished with a small bar, an outside pool and large veranda below which congregate the reserve’s animal residents as the evening draws in; a lovely spot for a sundowner.
Beautiful venue for a few nights stay; great food and our hosts were simply delightful and very helpful in making arrangements to visit some local attractions.

I cannot recommend this enough. It's a perfect stop off between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. We have stayed here as a couple, with our 4 children and the most recent trip was with my elderly parents. Varley and Hannalize could not have been more accommodating and kind towards them.

The information sheet provided were exceptionally detailed; and the hosts friendly and forthcoming. The restaurant, pool and porch area had beautiful views; especially over the unique variety of game feeding there - a rare experience. The meal served to us were well prepared and very tasty.

Truly a wonderful experience

Varley and Hannalize organized a mountainbike, complete with helmet and rack for one of us to ride the Swartberg Pass. We enjoyed the nice and clean pool, sunset drinks on the terrace watching the animals and dinner in the cozy restaurant. Thanks for everything!
